Singapore-based pop artist Dominic Chin creates music with his distinct voice and a blend of electro-pop, soul and R&B. Fuelled by life and all its awkward contradictions, he pens songs that resonate deeply with his audience. Chin started covering songs on YouTube in 2010 and his channel has a total viewership of over two million and more than 9,580 subscribers to date. He has performed at The Star Vista, Indoor Stadium, Istana and Sands Theatre.
After the viral success of You First Believed, a tribute song he wrote for Singapore’s founding father Lee Kuan Yew in 2014, he was inspired to write more originals for himself. In 2020, he released his debut EP Licence To Cry, garnering over one million streams worldwide. His concert Re: Licence to Cry sold out at the Esplanade Recital Studio in 2021.
Michael is a 27-year-old pianist and composer. His orchestral work debut 2 National Songs for Piano and Orchestra made its premiere in 2019 at the Singapore Conference Hall, featuring soloist Ryan Wang (Vancouver, Canada) and the Musician’s Initiative Orchestra. He has also scored music arrangements for the Breast Cancer Foundation’s 20th Anniversary Pink Ribbon Charity Gala and solo piano works performed by concert pianist Churen, as well as show arrangements for Dominic Chin’s EP Launch Concert Re:Licence To Cry. While based in South Australia, he was engaged to perform at the Adelaide Town Hall by the Lady Mayoress for events such as HerStory: Celebrating Centuries of Women’s Achievements (2017), The Lord Mayor’s Birthday (2018) and Adelaide Town Hall Open Day (2018), which featured his original compositions. Subsequently, he became resident pianist of the Mayfair Hotel in 2019 and 2021 before returning to Singapore.
