This event is over.
Nartaki Arts will present a Bharatanatyam performance, starting off by paying obeisance to Shankara Shri Giri, Lord Shiva, the God of dance in the first item. This is followed by an exploration of the presence and manifestation of Shiva within the dancers and the art form itself through symbolic elements such as the damaru, his ascetic appearance, and Nandi, representing values such as focus, humility, and patience that each dancer wishes to uphold.
Mask-wearing is optional. However, audiences are encouraged to continue to exercise responsibility and caution, such as wearing masks when in crowded places. No tickets will be issued. Seats are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Nartaki Arts
Nartaki Arts comprises Bharathanatyam dancers who have trained and performed with Omkar Arts for many years individually. They have come together for the first time to create and present this performance for Kalaa Utsavam 2022.
