Marking 60 years of Singapore's longest-running youth arts festival, the Singapore Youth Festival (SYF) 2026 continues this July under the theme "The ArtsXPerience – Inspire, Connect, Empower". Following the SYF Arts Presentation held in April, SYF60 presents an exciting line-up of Celebrations programmes, the SYF Art Exhibition and audience engagement activities, reflecting how the arts inspire creativity, connect communities and empower young people to express themselves and make a positive impact on the world around them.
As part of SYF60, Celebrations brings the festival to Esplanade – Theatres on the Bay on 3 and 4 Jul 2026, featuring a vibrant showcase of young talents across a range of programmes, including Band Jamboree, Shall We Sing?, Kaleidoscope and the Festival Concert.
All Celebrations programmes are free—come and enjoy an afternoon or evening of music and performance.
Band Jamboree
Reflecting the rich diversity of band music in schools, this programme provides a stage for young musicians to express their passion, explore creative possibilities and connect with the wider community. This year, 11 school bands take the stage, with performances featuring student conductors and alumni involvement.
Shall We Sing?
Showcasing choral diversity through a wide-ranging repertoire spanning local ethnic songs, regional and popular music and more, this programme brings together 16 choirs. Performances feature cross-level and inter-school collaborations, as well as audience interaction to create a shared and engaging concert experience.
Kaleidoscope
Providing a vibrant platform for youths to showcase their musical talents and explore innovative ways to present instrumental music to the wider community, this programme features varied ensembles and orchestras. This year, 15 instrumental groups take the stage, ranging from traditional instrumental ensembles to cross-level school collaborations and much more.
