Chinese Dance Fiesta 2023: Talk & Demonstration

The annual nation-wide Chinese dance outreach event organised by Singapore Chinese Dance Theatre (SCDT) is here again! Since its inauguration in 2015, Chinese Dance Fiesta has served as a platform to bring the local Chinese dance community together to deepen the public’s understanding and appreciation of Chinese dance.

Happening from 29 Apr - 7 May 2023, one can partake in the fiesta through a series of mesmerising dance performances, educational talk and demonstration sessions and an inspiring masterclass. In addition to the dance performances at the Esplanade Outdoor Theatre, there will also be showcases held at Bedok Town Square (29 Apr 2023), Our Tampines Hub Festive Plaza (30 Apr 2023) and VivoCity Amphitheatre (5 May 2023).

In the spirit of sharing the diversity and vibrancy of Chinese dance with the community, all events are free to enjoy. So mark your calendars and gather your friends and family at the Chinese Dance Fiesta.

Singapore Chinese Dance Theatre (SCDT) was incorporated in 2014 as a professional dance company, with the mission to promote Chinese dance of artistic and creative excellence. Led by Artistic Director Neo Jenny, SCDT plays a vital role in developing and exploring Chinese dance identity in Singapore.

In addition to local performing arts events, the company also showcases its works and participates in exchange opportunities on overseas platforms. Its performances are met with acclamation in countries such as China, South Korea, Vietnam and Indonesia.
