Tamil Spoken Word Poetry Performance

Spoken word poetry is a word-based performance art in which speakers engage in meaningful self-expression by sharing their views on topics of their choice with a live audience. This form of expression emphasizes sound, pronunciation, modulation of voice, and presentation. The individuals have prepared their poetry and will recite and perform alongside live musicians on the event day.  Each of the nine individual poets has created a unique topic to entertain and intrigue the audience, accompanied by original live music performances. The poetry titles reflect personal life events, the poet's experiences, or their views on how they perceive the world through their chosen topics. The Tamil Spoken Word poetry event aims to give the audience a unique experience of Tamil literature and different perspectives on various topics in a relaxed and informal setting.
