A journey into madness. A descent into the depths of expressionism through the quintessential masterwork of the era - Schoenberg’s Pierrot Lunaire. A masterpiece of ground-breaking melodrama, Pierrot Lunaire is written for five instrumentalists and a reciter of Sprechstimme ('spoken-singing'), features poetry by Albert Giraud that explores an obsessions with the wonders of moonlight.
Directed by Dr Zechariah Goh, The Sing Song Club's performance will leads us through the “moonstruck” fantasies of the title character. Be prepared for a truly unforgettable evening!
