– New York Concert Review

Lauded by the Boston Globe as "full of command and poise," Korean pianist Na Young Kim is earning praise as a "real artist with poetic soul" who combines "sterling technique, driving energy, strong dramatic sense, and amazingly clear sound." For her New York Debut recital at Merkin Concert Hall in 2013, New York Concert Review stated, "Ms. Kim projects an image of calm inner confidence. Everything seems to have been well thought out, planned carefully, and executed with the utmost precision... Na Young Kim is a musician to watch."

Kim has performed world-wide as a recitalist and in numerous chamber music concerts. She drew acclaim for her performances with the Korean Broadcasting System Symphony, Buchoun Symphony, Suwon Symphony, Busan Symphony, Prime Philharmonic, Janacek Philharmonic, Manhattan Chamber Orchestra, and Wiener Residenz Orchestra. She is also the first prize winner of the Jung-Ang Music Competition, EumYeon Piano Competition, JM Debut Audition, and New England Conservatory Concerto Competition in Boston.

As a winner of the 2005 Seoul Arts Center Music Festival Concerto Audition, Kim played with the DaeJun Civic Symphony Orchestra at Seoul Arts Center. She performed recitals in Japan, Germany, France, Italy, Austria, and USA. She performed at prestigious venues including Carnegie Weill Recital Hall in New York, USA, and Berlin Philharmonie Kämmermusicssal in Berlin, Germany. She has been featured in a cover story in Musica di Pianoforte and International Piano, some of the leading music magazines in Korea. In recent seasons, Kim was invited to perform as a soloist playing Rachmaninoff Piano Concerto No. 3 with Jeonju Symphony Orchestra at the Seoul Arts Center Orchestra Festival.

Dr. Kim received her Bachelor's degree from Seoul National University and holds a Master's degree and Graduate diploma from New England Conservatory in Boston. She received her Artist diploma at the Cleveland Institute of Music followed by her Doctor of Musical Arts degree from Ohio State University.
