The Comedy Club Asia presents the Best of Comedy Series at the Singtel Waterfront Theatre! The first show in February 2023 was a spectacular success. The 2nd show of this series is a BRITISH INVASION featuring UK comedy favourites Harriet Kemsley, Ben Norris, and Singapore-based comedians Sam See and Matt Chalmers.

Harriet Kelmsley

Harriet is an award winning comedian, writer and actress - taking home awards for Brighton New Act of the Year and Bath New Act of the Year in 2012, as well as Funny's Funny Female Comedian of the year in 2011. Recently, she starred in the Viceland reality sitcom Bobby and Harriet: Get Married which she co-created and co-wrote with her husband Bobby Mair, to huge critical acclaim. She also performed on Comedy Central’s Roast Battle, Jo Brand’s Channel 4 series Damned, appeared on the most recent season of Doctor Foster for BBC, appeared as a Guest on Dave’s Hypothetical and is a recurring guest on 8 out of 10 Cats Does Countdown and 8 Out of 10 Cats.

A stand up comedian working in the UK and abroad who's also a popular comic/DJ on MTV, Ben has also performed on the BBC's Stand Up Show and They Think It's All Over. Ben is a highly experienced and hugely well-respected stand-up. He’s been performing comedy since 1993 and is renowned for his incredibly relaxed stage persona and his innate ability to improvise as well as deliver sharply crafted material. Did you know that he’s also the cousin of actor Martin Freeman and also the father of triplets (2 girls and a boy)?
Ben’s TV credits include: “Mock the week” (BBC 1), “The Comedy Store” (Paramount and Comedy Central), “Never mind the Buzzcocks” (BBC 2), “They think it’s all over” (BBC 2). Ben also acted in a play developed with the ‘Comedians Theatre Company’ called ‘The last minutes’ which was broadcast on BBC Radio 4 in February 2014.

Sam See is an award nominated stand-up comedian currently based in Singapore. He has headlined in over 25 different countries, multiple international comedy festivals, and has crowd-surfed three times. Sam has sold out shows in Melbourne, Hong Kong, London, Tokyo, Berlin, the USA and Italy, and has also worked with and opened for Dara Ó Briain (IRE/UK), Bert Kreischer (US), Gina Yashere (US/UK), Jim Jefferies (AUS/US) & Kevin Bridges (SCO). Sam was also featured on Comedy Central Asia's Stand-Up Asia, as one of their top twelve comedians from Asia. He has also been on The Jim Jefferies Show (Comedy Central US), MTV, and was a permanent panelist on Singapore’s first ever comedy panel show, OK Chope (Channel 5).
His shows at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe has received the first Five-Star review for an act from South East Asia (On The Mic), and his recent 2022 show, Government Approved Sex, was on Fest Mag’s list of The Best of the Edinburgh Festivals. He also received fourteen 4 Star reviews from a Pakistani content farm that all copied another review but hey, a review’s a review. In 2022, Sam was longlisted for the Epigram Books Fiction Prize.

Matt Chalmers

Matt Chalmers is a Scottish golf professional who has been doing comedy since 2017. He is a proud Glaswegian, but identifies as a life long expat, having spent the majority of his life living abroad in Bahrain, Abu Dhabi, China and now Singapore. Matt is a product of Singapore's thriving comedy scene and has performed in a number of countries where he has had the opportunity to open for comedians such as Stephen K Amos (UK) and Ardal O'Hanlon (IRE).
