New Beginnings

Piano Duo CieL was formed in 2021 comprising of Singaporean pianist Jared Liew and South Korean pianist Juyen Chai. Despite its relatively brief existence, it has already amassed prizes at various competitions such as the 'Gold Hands' Award at the Carles & Sofia International Piano Competition in Spain as well as Absolute First Prizes at the International Clara Schumann Competition and the International Piano Competition 'Ischia'. They were also one of the 12 shortlisted Piano Duos at the 70th International ARD Competition held in Munich, Germany in 2021. Due to its various successes, Piano Duo CieL has been invited to perform at various venues throughout South Korea and is looking forward to sharing their music with audiences in Singapore as well, seeing that it is afterall the home of Singaporean pianist Jared Liew. Join us for an evening of music featuring works from Schubert, Mendelssohn and also some lesser known composers!
