Cameron Mackintosh's acclaimed new production of Les Misérables opens at the Esplanade Theatre, Singapore in May for a strictly limited season.

Set against the backdrop of 19th century France, Les Misérables (fondly referred to as Les Mis) is the unforgettable story of heartbreak, passion and the resilience of the human spirit that has become one of the world's most popular musicals. Featuring beloved songs 'I Dreamed a Dream', 'On My Own', 'Bring Him Home' and 'One Day More', this breathtaking new production has been completely reimagined with glorious new sets and staging.

Playing the iconic role of Jean Valjean is established actor and musical theatre star, Simon Gleeson who recently picked up the Australian Helpmann Award for the role. Valjean’s lifelong antagonist Javert will be played by Earl Carpenter, direct from his performance of the role in the Broadway company of Les Misérables. Joining them will be musical theatre stars, Patrice Tipoki as Fantine, Kerrie Anne Greenland as Eponine, Chris Durling as Enjolras and Emily Langridge as Cosette from the award winning Australian production.

Seen by over 70 million people and winner of over 125 awards, Les Misérables is the musical experience of a lifetime.

les miserables, les mis, les miz, le mis, le miserable
