Melodies of the Moon

The Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts (NAFA) Chinese Chamber Ensemble was established in 2002. It currently has over 40 members comprising both diploma and degree students majoring in Chinese and Western instruments. As one of the most active performing groups at NAFA, the ensemble has been invited to perform at various community and charity events, as well as corporate functions, festivals and ceremonies. Led by Head of Chinese Instrumental Studies Mr Sunny Wong, members of the ensemble participated in a series of performances as part of exchanges with renowned conservatories in China. Many have also consistently swept top prizes at Singapore Chinese Music Competitions organised by the Singapore Chinese Orchestra, and other prestigious competitions held in Singapore, China, Hong Kong and the United States.
