The SN Choir has a long history, dating back to 2003. Under the baton of conductor Lim Ai Hooi, the choir has enjoyed more than three decades of success, clinching Gold with Honours at the biennial Singapore Youth Festival (SYF) Central Judging of choirs from 2007 to 2011, and the Certificate of Distinction at the SYF Arts Presentation from 2013 to 2023.
The choir is motivated and bonded by their passion for music and singing together. To share their joy of singing, the SN Choir has performed and won awards both locally and overseas. Their voices have been heard by the patients and visitors at the Art of Healing programme at Tan Tock Seng hospital, in the community through the PAssionArts Singapore Festival and at their in-house concert SiNGerS. The choir has also been recognised at the 2nd and 3rd Singapore International Choral Festival 2015 and 2016.
Across the globe, the choir have performed and won awards at the 2004 Choir Festival, Orlando di Lasso, Italy, 2006 34th International Festival of Song, Olomou, Czech Republic, 2008 3rd International Festival of Advent and Christmas Music, Brastislava, Slovakia, 2010 Grand Prix St. Petersburg 4th World Choir Festival, Russia, and 2011 Winter Choral Festival, Hong Kong Disneyland.
The SN Choir community is blessed to have a dedicated and much-loved choir conductor in Lim Ai Hooi, a team of caring teachers and supportive parents – all of whom have made the choir’s endeavours a success.
