Join Shahril Samri, Malay Heritage Centre’s storyteller, as he takes you through the dramatic tale of Senor Costa set in a port city of the Nusantara during the late 18th century. Choose Senor Costa’s fate in this exciting syair (traditional Malay poem) as he encounters a dangerous game of deception and violent confrontation in this thrilling storytelling session!

Malay Heritage Centre

Situated at Kampong Gelam, the Malay Heritage Centre (MHC) is a museum which provides a wealth of cultural exposure and learning experience about Malay culture and heritage.

 

Though it is currently closed for renovation works, MHC continues to bring various programmes to partner venues around Singapore.

 

Storyteller, Shahril Samri, is a preschool teacher in Singapore and the founder of Pantunism, a Malay poetry movement in the region. He has done sessions at MHC and NLB community libraries. He is also the author of Lepiong dan Cepiong Mencari Makan.
