To Love and To Let Go

Briolette Quintet is a newly formed group of musicians from Yong Siew Toh Conservatory of Music. As a quintet ensemble of mixed instruments comprising the violin, oboe, cello, harp, and percussion, the group members have performed in chamber settings and orchestral concerts in many countries, specifically in Southeast Asia. Aiming to share music more widely as a tool in telling stories and their life journeys, they aim to present music experiences that are relatable and enjoyable for everyone. Violinist Tsao Wei Chun, oboist Reynard Ardian, cellist Chang Jia-Yun, harpist Vanessa Jazzy, and percussionist Lai Jo Wei all come from classically trained music backgrounds, but that does not limit their musical ideas of production. Fusing genres and combining forces, they focus on presenting interesting instrument combinations, arrangements, and songs.
