Gan Eng Seng & Zhangde Primary School Choirs

The Gan Eng Seng Primary School Choir comprise of 39 Choir members aged nine to twelve who gather weekly to experience the joy of singing. It is a young choir with most of the members joining the team during the pandemic when lessons were conducted via zoom. Hence, the choir now enthusiastically embraces all opportunities to perform so that the young choristers may share their love of singing and the beauty of music to others. The choir performs regularly at school events and at functions on the invitation of the Ministry of Education and other organizations. Through performances and exposure to the local and international choral scene, these young choristers develop a deep love for singing and gain invaluable training in musicianship, self-discipline, confidence, poise and teamwork.

Zhangde Choir was formed by a group of students who love singing. Through their journey in music, they have embraced the values of Resilience and Responsibility, which are also their school values. Under the guidance of the choir instructor and the teachers-in-charge, Zhangde Choir attained Certificate of Distinction in the Singapore Youth Festival (SYF) Arts Presentation in 2018. The choir is privileged to have been given the opportunities to perform at numerous school, community and national events. It always looks forward to more performances and scaling the greater heights.
