Originally from Mexico City, the duo Kary and Lobo (Karina Ocampo and Joel Fuentes) will bring you on an exploration of Latin American music, performing classics such as traditional Cuban son, boleros, rumbas and salsas. They will be joined by Mario López on bass.
Mask-wearing is optional. However, audiences are encouraged to continue to exercise responsibility and caution, such as wearing masks when in crowded places. No tickets will be issued. Seats are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Joel Fuentes
JOEL FUENTES "WOLF" studied music at the National Autonomous University of Mexico and later in the Jazz Workshop of the INBA School of Music. Since the ‘80s, he has served as bassist in the Afro-Latin genre. However, his great passion was always in the composition and interpretation of Cuban popular music known as Trova. For more than three decades, he has served as director of various groups such as Son y algo más, Lorena and the Alebrijes, La Otra Banda, among others, adorning important stages of the Mexican Republic and internationally. He currently serves as Director of the Other Salsa Fusion Band, and at the same time continues his personal project as Cantautor.
Karina Ocampo
KARY OCAMPO-PROCEL began her artistic career at the age of 17 in the theatre. She has held various courses in both music and theatrical performance. She has participated in various festivals such as the Festival de Son de Casa del Lago (2014,15 and 16), The Mazunte Jazz Festival (2017), Magno Parade del Bicentennial (2010), and La Casa de Bernarda Alba (dir. Sergio Alazcuaga 2018). She is currently part of several musical and performance projects as a singer and percussionist in La Otra Banda (salsa fusion) and Lorena and the Alebrijes), among others.
