Synopsis

In an intimate vocal and organ/piano setting, Sneha and Ann Gie explore a wide range of songs tied together by confessional lyrics and captivating melodies, including lesser-known tunes in the jazz canon such as Betty Carter’s Look No Further, soulful ballads like Aretha Franklin’s Good To Me As I Am To You, and well-loved standards like This Can’t Be Love.

Ann Gie

Ann Gie is a pianist, composer, and arranger. She fell in love with jazz when she was 17 and has been trying to decode the music ever since. She has performed with many international and Singaporean jazz artists, including Jeremy Monteiro and the Jazz Association of Singapore Youth Orchestra. She holds a position with the the Music and Drama Company.

Sneha's love of jazz grew out of time spent practicing and performing with her university's jazz band. She also enjoys singing with her friends Marielle and Iman, with whom she forms the close harmony vocal trio, The Sugar Bees.
