Synopsis

Manimaran Creations presents Thiruvizha – The Festivity! During this performance, a variety of different Indian traditional art forms will be performed, including those that are widely shown during celebrations, festivals and important cultural events. This performance celebrates the joy of being together and rising together to beat the flames of the pandemic. Look forward to showcases of Kolattam (stick dance), Oyilattam (scarf dance), Thappattam (drum dance), Kuthiraiattam (horse dance) and Mayilattam (peacock dance). Let’s all celebrate this thiruvizha together!

Advisory:

Mask-wearing is optional. However, audiences are encouraged to continue to exercise responsibility and caution, such as wearing masks when in crowded places.  No tickets will be issued. Seats are available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Manimaran Creations

Having 43 years of regional and international performances showcasing exemplary Indian folk dance under their belt, Manimaran Creations has grown into one of the most well-established performing arts companies in Singapore. Founded by the late Mr Manimaran, the team started with five dancers and has grown significantly and nurtured more than 50 artists. The team is able to create a diverse range of performances across classical, traditional Indian folk, contemporary, and modern dance, and is a household name as one of the pioneers in the Singapore Indian folk scene.
