Dancer and choreographer Albert Sigan Anak Saliman will share about his experience and enthusiasm for Malay dance.
These masterclasses aim to provide a platform for local dancers to gain skills and techniques which they can imbue into their practice. Participants will also be able to gain insight from these established artists on their training in Malay dance, encouraging cross-cultural understanding and promoting good relations within the region. The recommended participants are dancers who have been actively practising or performing Malay dance over the past 12 months.
Muara Festival is presented by Era Dance Theatre in collaboration with Esplanade – Theatres on the Bay as part of Esplanade’s Pentas series.

Albert Sigan Anak Saliman was awarded the Solo Solo Category Champion (Momak Lyulin) at the International Folklore Festival, Vitosha, Bulgaria on July 16 – 20, 2020. Vitosha IFF is a cultural event on an international scale and has great global importance in the scene of folk arts. His experience and dedication to the arts is something he wants to share with fellow enthusiasts of Malay dance.
