Transformative Tea Ceremony for Children

Recommended Age: 6 – 12 yrs

Experience mindfulness and gratitude with your child through the simple act of sharing tea. In this session, your children will be guided by the tea experts at Fort Sanctuary to prepare and serve tea to their elders. This act of offering tea fosters humility, gratitude, and respect in both the giver and receiver. Children experience more than just a ritual—they learn about this cultural tradition that nurtures character, respect, and resilience, and has connected generations.

This practice of the tea ceremony is inspired by the work of Professor Bian Park, a respected Korean scholar: through the consistent practice of the tea ceremony, seven children who faced behavioral challenges found discipline, respect, and inner calm, and are now distinguished professionals. Fort Sanctuary hopes to share with participants the transformative power of the tea ceremony—how it can provide not only healing, but also a foundation for lifelong success.

Suitable for children ages 4 – 12

A fun, hands-on session where parents and children can bond through creativity! Using colourful, bendable pipe cleaners, you’ll learn to twist, curl, and shape your own bouquet of flowers. This workshop is perfect for all skill levels—no prior experience needed. Children will love exploring textures and colors, while parents can enjoy the simple joy of making something together. At the end of this workshop, each parent-child pair will take home one frame of their handmade blooms, a cheerful reminder of time well spent.

Suitable for age 5 – 12yrs

This 90-minute interactive parent-child workshop is designed to bring families closer through the power of voice and music! Guided by professional vocal instructors from Lee Wei Song Music Academy (LWS), participants will learn basic vocal techniques and discover how to express their feelings of gratitude through singing. The highlight of the session is a mini showcase where parent-child pairs can perform their short, heartfelt songs together— a way to “sing out thanks” to loved ones! Take photos and videos and share them on your chats this festive season.
