This 2½-day training programme combines theory and practical work in relation to working on elevated work platforms.
The programme covers the theoretical and practical aspects of operating elevated work platforms in which the height of platforms is adjusted by telescoping, scissor mechanisms, articulation, or any combination of these methods.
The training will also cover the use of Tallescope, a mobile, manually operated telescopic ladder with a fixed basket.
To successfully complete the programme, the participant must attend the 2½-day programme and undertake a written and practical assessment.
Objectives
This programme aims to equip the participant with the skills and knowledge to erect, maintain and dismantle working platforms and access equipment for live productions and events.
Certification
Participants will be awarded a Certificate of Participation for Erect, Maintain and Dismantle Working Platforms and Accessing Equipment.
Who should attend?
Theatre Technicians or individuals who work in live productions, events or related industries.
Terms and Conditions
Participants need to fulfill the following requirements:
Must successfully complete training and assessment
Meet the minimum of 75% attendance
All participants will be required to wear safety shoes during the training programme
