Regardless of your intention, the library@esplanade hits the spot. As Singapore's first performing arts library, it offers information, services and facilities in the areas of music, dance, theatre and film. It is also one of the few libraries in the world that is located within an arts centre!
Officially opened on 12 September 2002 by then Senior Minister for Transport and Information, Communication and the Arts Mr Khaw Boon Wan, the library@esplanade has become a one-stop arts resource location for locals and foreigners alike.
Spanning across most of the third floor of Esplanade, the library is spacious and conducive for research, providing respite from the hustle and bustle of the world outside. Here, you can build on your knowledge of the arts to better enhance your experience at any show, or simply immerse yourself in the beauty and goodness that the arts has to offer.
