About the Event

Experience the thrill of movement in bite-sized excerpts against the night lights of the city, performed by T.H.E Second Company.

《起风了》Rising Winds, by renowned local choreographer Albert Tiong, first premiered in 2017 at cont·act’s Asian Festivals Exchange, a platform that spotlighted works and collaborations from the region. Created by Tiong for T.H.E Second Company, the piece returns with a new cast to re-explore the dynamics of interpersonal relations amidst an unyielding environment.

Kawayan, by T.H.E Dance Company’s full-time dance artist Klievert Mendoza, offers a spellbinding look at the correlation between Man and nature, the dance artists’ tireless movements evocative of a calm, resilient forest of bamboo. Amidst the bustle of the city, the performance creates a rhythmic tranquillity with an original score by Kent Lee.

The evening’s programme will be guided by an emcee who will provide nuggets of insight and understanding along the way. Singapore sign language (SGSL) and live audio description are also available at the event.
