We Are Imaginary (PH)
Since 2008, the critically acclaimed We Are Imaginary continue to refine their sound by marrying the jangly romp of The Smiths to the morose romanticism of early-2000s Death Cab for Cutie. The Manila-based band has released two EPs under the moniker Your Imaginary Friends: the slyly confident indie-pop debut, One Dreamy Indeterminate Hum (2010) and its grittier cousin, Silence Is A Villain (2013). They then turned over a new leaf in 2016 by signing under local indie label WideEyed Records Manila, and releasing their highly anticipated debut LP Death to Romanticism (2016) under their new name.

After representing their country at the 2015 Grass Tone Sound Festival in Nakhon Ratchisima, Thailand, We Are Imaginary, composed of Ahmad Tanji (vocals, guitars), Jazz Magday (drums), Khalid Tanji (guitars, vocals) and Vhall Bugtong (bass, vocals), are more driven than ever to make the world a saner place with their own brand of hummable noise.

Heals (ID)
Heals is a Bandung-based alternative rock/shoegaze/nugaze group. Formed in 2013, the band consists of Alyuadi Febryansyah (known as Aldead) and Reza Arinal (known as Ejasaurus) on guitar and vocals, Muhammad Ramdhan (known as Rara) on guitar, Octavia Variana on bass and vocals, and Adi Reza on drums. Their performance and creation are filled with layers of distorted guitar riffs, quirky sounds and effects, and streams of soft and melodious vocal, heavily influenced by bands like My Bloody Valentine, My Vitriol, Nirvana, and some Japanese bands. In their songs, listeners can experience their deepest imagination and anxiety in their narratives.

In 2014, their first single, Void, was uploaded digitally and had a warm reception. In 2015, the band signed on to FFWD Records, a legendary record label from Bandung. To this date, they’ve released one b-side cassette, which include two songs; Wave and Myselves. They’re now in final progress of making their debut full-album, which will be released at the beginning of this year.

Heals has had many memorable and important moments on festival stages in Indonesia including Intimacy (2015 & 2016), Thursday Noise (2016), Synchronize Fest (2016), A Create (2016), to Studiorama (2016). They’ve even performed in several stages outside Jakarta and Bandung, like Live Forever (Cirebon) and Hello Tomorrow (Tasikmalaya).

NOTHING TO DECLARE is an alternative rock band from Tokyo, Japan, which started out in Singapore in 2006 as a solo project of Mas Kimura while he was a member of pop punk band, Pug Jelly.

The debut eponymous EP was released soon after, which led to a headlining slot at Singapore’s biggest outdoor alternative music festival BayBeats, and a series of performances capped by a nationwide tour of Japan.

Mas moved to Japan in 2012 and recruited Yoshi, Masa and Mutsumi on board. In May 2013, with the release of their first album Your Obsession, they were called in to support FACT (Japan) on their label’s tour, supported ISSUES (USA) on their headlining show in Tokyo, and also returned to perform at BayBeats in Singapore.

In 2015, the band released a three-track single, We Stand Alone. The music videos for all three songs are on their YouTube channel. That year, they also shared the stage with FACT in the latter’s farewell festival in Japan, performing alongside Ken Yokoyama (Hi-Standard), Crossfaith, Man With A Mission, Hey-Smith and many more.
