Experience the immediacy of dance combined with the intimacy of film in Cineda:ns – a collaboration between Esplanade’s da:ns festival and da:ns series, and independent cinema The Projector. The series allows audiences to experience the immediacy of dance combined with the intimacy of film, offering up-close access to significant dance artists, their choreographies and personal lives, told through the cinematic artistry of filmmakers.
In 2017, Cineda:ns turns the focus to French-born dancer and choreographer, Benjamin Millepied, and Stuttgart Ballet, with 2 intriguing and varied films. Millepied’s L.A. Dance Project is featured in da:ns festival and Stuttgart Ballet performs John Cranko’s Romeo & Juliet in da:ns series, both in October 2017.
