Formed by male vocalist Skippy and female vocalist Ding Ding, Crispy is a unique alternative-folk duo and one of the rare male–female co-lead vocal groups in Taiwan. Their music spans a wide range of styles, blending folk with rock, pop, electronic elements, and sample-based collage. With Skippy’s bright and delicate tone and Ding Ding’s layered, resonant voice, their vocal lines intertwine to create a distinctive soundscape that is warm and deeply comforting.
Crispy’s songwriting celebrates youth while also capturing the beauty and losses of growing up. Their lyrics resonate strongly with younger listeners, touching on generational reflections — the confusion of coming of age, the ache of farewells, reflections on reality, and simple, sincere love.
To date, the duo has released three EPs and four albums. Their 2019 album Where There’s Light, earned them the Freshmusic Award for Best Creative/Performing Group. Their 2022 album Take It Slow, I Will Be There surpassed 20 million streams and brought them onto the 34th Golden Melody Awards stage, where they won Best Vocal Group. Their track Heading North from the same album was also nominated for Best Lyricist.
In 2025, they released their 15th anniversary EP Love Yourself, Like I Do and launched their I Love You × 100 15th anniversary tour.
