Project RA: The Vibes Collective is a genre-fluid ensemble devoted to bold musical storytelling and crafting soundscapes where borders vanish and rhythms ignite. Rooted in tradition yet unapologetically contemporary, their sound rises from the meeting of Latin jazz’s fiery grooves and the intricate beauty of Carnatic music.
In this special performance, the Collective explores new frontiers in collaboration with celebrated Carnatic vocalist Varijashree Venugopal, whose mastery and improvisational brilliance bring a powerful voice to this cross-cultural journey.
At the heart of this fusion lies an interplay of bass, keys, drums, and percussion, with vibraphone and Carnatic voice anchoring the ensemble’s kaleidoscopic sound. The result is a vibrant dialogue of rhythm, melody, and texture, where Latin syncopations and jazz harmonies are reimagined through the lens of Indian classical expression.
Step into this living mosaic of sound, and be part of this celebration of cross-cultural connection, friendship, and the universal language of music.
