Synopsis

Teroka Spontan invites participants into the dynamic world of the tukang karut, where wit, rhythm and creativity come together.

Through interactive exercises and live improvisation, participants will learn how spontaneous verses are crafted, how ideas are transformed into compelling performances, and how humour, storytelling and social commentary have long been central to the dikir barat tradition. Designed for performers, enthusiasts and curious learners alike, this workshop celebrates the creative thinking and artistry that lies at the heart of a great tukang karut.
