Synopsis

The tiger is coming! Bursting onto South Korea’s music scene in 2019, LEENALCHI is an alternative pop group that found viral success with their quirky fusion of pansori-style singing, electronic synths and groovy bass lines. Rooted in the sounds and style of Korean folk music, they create catchy, invigorating songs with broad appeal to fans from Korea and beyond.

The six-piece band is well-loved in their home country, having won several Korean Music Awards for their first full-length album SUGUNGGA (2020), contributed to various K-drama soundtracks such as Jeongnyeon: The Star is Born, and consistently fill concert halls and venues with the captivating sound. The members are also notable in the Korean music scene, with bassist Jang Young Gyu composing the soundtrack of popular Korean movies like Train to Busan and The Wailing.

The band found international success through their collaborations with Gucci and the Korean Tourism Board, as well as through viral songs such as Tiger Is Coming. Building on this momentum, LEENALCHI went on to thrill audiences worldwide in Europe, Japan, Australia and Hong Kong and more. They have graced the stages of festivals such as Clockenflap, World of Music, Arts and Dance festival (WOMAD), Roskilde Festival and Pohoda.

Now, LEENALCHI is gearing up for the release of their highly anticipated sophomore album project, Lesser Gods and Chimeras, heralding the start of new era. Be one of the firsts to hear this band live in Singapore as they make their debut at the Esplanade Annexe Studio—it’s a show not to be missed!
