Synopsis
Hiroaki Maekawa’s music shifts fluidly between high-energy pieces driven by a strong rhythmic bass line and softer, more introspective moments that reflect his versatility as a composer and bassist. At this concert, he presents new compositions alongside favourite jazz-funk classics. Hiroaki is joined by his quintet of jazz musicians, featuring Johan Liedberg, Rit Xu, Erik Hargrove and Jordan Wei.
