He’s the man who caught Prince’s ear, directed music for Kirk Franklin, and holds down keys for the GRAMMY award-winning collective Snarky Puppy. Perched behind a fortress of vintage keys, Sparks channels the full lineage of Black American music—blues grit, jazz freedom, gospel fire, deep funk, and slick R&B—into something that feels both rooted and completely fresh. The band locks into grooves, so heavy heads will nod, bodies will move—resistance will not be an option.
