In this comedic tale, the vain Meiniang pressures her husband, Lin Shao, into writing a divorce letter before happily returning to her mother’s home, where she spins elaborate stories to manipulate her greedy mother. Eager for a wealthy match, her mother calls upon three matchmakers, each bringing their own amusing and exaggerated flair to the situation.
