Comprising Rachma Lim on piano, Kailin Yong on violin, Riduan Zalani on rebana, Umar Zakaria on bass and Govin Tan on drums, the collective shares a common goal of preserving their traditional heritages while exploring and incorporating new and diverse jazz styles and cultures. Through the fusion of styles, they hope to create something new, innovative, and magically heartfelt. The programme will explore the connections between jazz and the act of embracing various cultures, creating space for improvisation and conversation that reflects a rich and diverse musical heritage.
