Synopsis

For many independent artists, the dream of touring often comes without the safety net of big budgets, label support, or a dedicated crew. Yet across Asia and beyond, countless musicians hit the road armed with little more than their music, their drive and their community.

In this panel discussion, we bring together artists and music professionals who have carved their own paths in touring without traditional backing. They’ll share the realities of DIY touring from the high of building new audiences, to the challenges of funding, logistics and self-promotion.

Join us as we unpack the resourcefulness, resilience and sheer creativity it takes to keep independent music moving across borders. Whether you’re an aspiring artist, a seasoned gig goer, or simply curious about what happens behind the scenes, this conversation offers a raw look at life on the road when you’re truly independent.
