Synopsis
From My Life is a story about Lynnette Seah’s journey — one shaped by discipline, love, and a lifelong devotion to music. Her musical path began at the age of four with piano lessons from her mother, a pianist who later introduced her to violin at six under the guidance of Goh Soon Tioe. Practice was a daily ritual; only after completing an hour each on piano and violin would she earn her dinner. These moments often continued in the kitchen, where her mother taught her to cook, turning food into both reward and an expression of care.
These early experiences laid the foundation for Lynnette’s artistry, instilling in her a deep sense of dedication and resilience. The works presented in this recital are drawn from some of her favourite violin and piano repertoire, each piece reflecting a chapter of her personal and musical life.
More than a retrospective, From My Life is also a statement of conviction — that age does not define one’s ability to perform, grow, or continue pursuing excellence. Through this concert, Lynnette Seah affirms that passion for music endures beyond time, and that artistry evolves with experience.
Joined by fellow musicians and collaborators, this recital is both a celebration of her journey and an invitation for audiences to share in the moments that have shaped her life in music.
