“Soulful Steps I brings together a stunning fusion of ethnic dance and live music, presenting a breathtaking visual and auditory impact.”
– Lianhe Zaobao
“Soulful Steps I unfolds with an incredible band of four musicians providing fitting music compositions to the seven different solos and a group piece. Part-narrative, part-concert, the music plays the crucial role of bringing the performances together as well as providing a mysterious atmosphere for the evening.”
– Ezekiel Oliveira, FiveLines
“Soulful Steps I blends modern presentation techniques with ethnic traditions smoothly and seamlessly.”
– China Daily
The wanderer, silently threading the eternal river of time and space, embarking on a quest…Seeking lost beauty, a dream of returning to nature.
Witness a breathtaking fusion of live music and dance in Soulful Steps II, where souls are purified by the universal language of rhythm and movement. A spiritual dialogue unfolds across time and space—between humanity, our ancestors, nature, and cultural origins.
This mesmerising performance is a collaborative creation by 11 outstanding musicians and dancers. Through different mediums of music (throat singing, prolonged melodic chants, vocals, hums, instruments, and silence) and dance (Mongolian, Tibetan, Dai, and Kazakh), Soulful Steps II retraces the connection between human beings, nature and our ancestors.
This performance includes singing in Mongolian, Tibetan and Kazakh.
