About the Workshop

Let’s explore the ways of the Funky Robot! We’ll learn how to look like a robot, move like a robot and above all else, dance like a robot. You are never too young or too old to get down to this robot’s beat! 

About Raihan Zainal

Raihan Zainal (b. 1997) is a dedicated and hardworking dancer who has almost a decade of street dance experience. His main dance genre is popping, although he is also proficient in other street dance genres such as hip hop, locking, and more. He has also received multiple awards and achievements from dance events and battles both locally and internationally. 

About EV Dance

EV Dance is one of Singapore’s leading dance companies, established in 2009 with the aim to provide local and international opportunities for diverse and engaging artistic experiences for children, communities, artists and audiences.

The dance studio offers beginner dance classes for a variety of age groups from kids to adults, offering a comfortable and enriching environment for anyone who wish to pick up dancing. 

About the Workshop

In this dance-play workshop, children will get to explore movement, musicality, and work on motor skills and coordination. Parents and their little darlings can have fun together as they boogie to upbeat music!

About Lee Wen

Lee Wen is a dancer, instructor and choreographer, previously the dance captain (2018 – 2019) for New Revolving Age (NRA), a well-known dance crew that also served as Ngee Ann Polytechnic’s hip hop club. While serving her term, she choreographed several performances for the club as well as items for NRA’s student production, Surge: The Knots.

She has competed in Super24 2018 and 2019 under NRA and clinched 2nd place with Orion in World Supremacy Battlegrounds 2019 and Juvenile in Jambouree 2018. Lee Wen has been with Danz People since February 2020 teaching Girls Style and Open Choreography to adults and youth, as well as a faculty member of the kids department teaching kids from 4-12 years of age.

Her goal is to provide a safe and conducive platform for dancers to grow, learn and express themselves.

About Danz People

Danz People makes dance accessible to young people and adults through dance training, arts education, and community outreach programmes. Their mission is to create quality dance programmes, to provide dance education opportunities to the public, to encourage collaboration within the dance community, and to speak of the importance of the arts in all our lives.

Danz People’s curriculum includes hip hop, jazz and contemporary catered to both children and adults, seasoned and novice dancers, with courses for beginners as well. A recital is staged annually to allow all students to experience performing in a theatre setting, and to grow in more ways than one. Danz People is committed to the education of dance through their extensive curriculum and experience.

About the Workshop

An introductory workshop for both adults and preschoolers to learn the fundamentals of breaking such as top rock, footwork and basic positions/stances widely used in this dance genre.

About Sean and Jeremya

Sean and Jeremya are professional breakers who have held numerous prestigious dance titles locally and overseas. They have been active members of Singapore's breaking community for the past 17 years and represented Singapore in various competitions such as the SEA Games 2019 (Bronze Medalist) and NICE FEST Melbourne: Cypher 2018 (1st place).

About Artistate

Artistate is Singapore's first street dance academy that offers extensive street dance programmes suitable for all levels, from beginners to professionals. Housing a team of Singapore’s top notch dance instructors and experts in their field, Artistate provides quality education and focuses on the progression and excellence of their students. 

About the Workshop

An introductory workshop for both adults and preschoolers to learn basic hip hop moves like the bounce, the rock and various grooves that make up the dance.

About Joey and Dhea

Joey and Dhea are professional dancers that have coached in various esteemed dance institutions. Guided by notable and professional dance instructors in the local industry, they both have a combined experience of over 20 years in performing, choreographing and teaching dance for both adults and kids.

About Artistate

Artistate is Singapore's first street dance academy that offers extensive street dance programmes suitable for all levels, from beginners to professionals. Housing a team of Singapore’s top notch dance instructors and experts in their field, Artistate provides quality education and focuses on the progression and excellence of their students. 

About the Workshop

Be it Old School styles that focus on bounces and party elements, or street styles that feature intricate movements and clean isolations, this hip hop class will allow students to explore more on their movements!

Jia Xi is highly motivated and passionate towards teaching and empowering the lives of others by sharing her joy for dance, especially with youth. She enjoys the process of cultivating positive mindsets and imparting education through dance.

About Converge Studios

Converge Studios operates across two branches, Dhoby Ghaut and Potong Pasir, serving as a sanctuary for dance enthusiasts of various levels and experiences. With more than 50 open classes a week to choose from, and an assembly of the most passionate, professional and personal instructors, there is always a class appropriate for everyone regardless of their concentration, level of experience, or training requirement. Housing a faculty of more than 50 instructors, each a specialist in their own genres, the studio strives to create what is truly a convergence of some of the best and most relevant in the industry.
