From the dense forests to the polished floors of a concert hall, the horn has certainly established itself as one of the most iconic and versatile instruments in Western music. What else can the horn offer? Join Kartik and Beatrice in discovering a platter of varied sounds from the music of Mozart to Messiaen.
All patrons (except for children aged 12 and below) need to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19. Patrons will be required to verify their vaccination status at the venue. Mask-wearing is required for all indoor events. Children aged 2 to 12 who have difficulties wearing a mask may wear a face shield for indoor events.
Beatrice Lin
Much sought after as an instrumental and vocal collaborative pianist, Beatrice Lin has been actively working with musicians from Singapore and abroad in numerous recitals, recordings and music festivals. Her vast experience also lies in opera, having worked extensively as rehearsal pianist for Singapore Lyric Opera and more recently with the Singapore Chinese Orchestra in their theatrical productions. Her love for chamber music led to the birth of the Incursion Trio which she co-founded in 2008. The trio recently celebrated its 10th anniversary with a concert tour to Malaysia, Thailand and Taiwan.
A graduate of the Yong Siew Toh Conservatory of Music, Singapore, the Royal Academy of Music, and the Haute école de Musique de Genève, her studies were generously supported by the National Arts Council and the Lee Foundation. She was also awarded the Adolphe Neuman Prize from the canton of Geneva in 2010 upon graduation. During her stay in Switzerland, she collaborated and performed with musicians and ensembles in Geneva, Lausanne, Sion and Biel. She was also invited to perform in live radio broadcasts on the Radio Suisse Romande Espace 2 as keyboardist with L’Orchestre de Chambre de Genève and Ensemble Contrechamps, and as répètiteur for the Concours de Genève.
Kartik Alan Jairamin

His education was generously supported by the National Arts Council Singapore, Lee Foundation and Trailblazer Foundation and was the recipient of the Michael Quinn Award from the Royal College of Music.

Apart from recitals Jairamin has participated in orchestra festivals held in Germany, Austria and Scotland and was a Young Artist with the Britten-Pears Orchestra as part of the Aldeburgh Festival (2015). He has performed with numerous orchestras namely the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra, Malaysia Philharmonic Orchestra, Shenzhen Symphony Orchestra and has performed and recorded with the Philharmonia Orchestra (London) under the baton of Estonian-born American conductor Paavo Järvi and British cellist Steven Isserlis.
