இன்று புதிதாய் பிறந்தோம் (Today We Are Born Anew) is a bharatanatyam dance production inspired by Mahakavi Subramania Bharathiyaar's Puthiya Aathichudi (புதிய ஆத்திசூடி), a timeless collection of concise moral and philosophical maxims that serve as a guide for ethical living and social progress. Drawing from these verses, the production brings Bharathiyaar's ideas into the present, exploring their relevance to life today.

It asks us to look both outward and inward. What do we fear? What do we hold onto? What have we accepted without question? And what might we need to change?

Through bharatanatyam, poetry, music, and narration, these questions unfold through the lens of Bharathiyaar's words, moving between the personal and the collective, and considering how our inner lives shape the world we create together.

Ultimately, the production invites us to see each day as an opportunity to start again: to choose courage over fear, truth over falsehood, compassion over indifference, and possibility over stagnation. Because sometimes, to change the world around us, we must first choose to be born anew within ourselves.
