Synopsis
A musical conversation. A meeting of musical voices. A sharing of heartfelt stories. INTERPLAY brings together Indonesian jazz vocalist Soukma and Singaporean pianist, conductor, and jazz virtuoso Weixiang Tan for an evening of soulful jazz.
Known for her rich, expressive artistry shaped by jazz legends and Indonesian musical heritage, Soukma’s soulful presence meets Weixiang’s “ruthlessly inventive” musicianship and globally celebrated improvisational language.
Together, they create a dynamic musical dialogue where tradition and modernity, melody and freedom, elegance and surprise converge. Through reimagined jazz standards, original interpretations, and spontaneous exchange, INTERPLAY celebrates the authenticity and beauty of jazz.
