Esplanade Presents
14 Apr 2026, Tue, 6.45pm & 7.45pm
(Intermission: None)
Esplanade Concourse
Presented by the Pasir Ris Crest Secondary School Choir, Crest of the Wave reflects the choir’s bold and ever-evolving spirit. The programme journeys across time and cultures, from a heartfelt tribute to Singapore in Singapura Sunny Island to the rhythmic charm of the Renaissance piece It Was a Lover and His Lass.
Contemporary sonorities unfold in Koosen, while the Visayan folk song Dandansoy brings a poignant sense of longing through its layered harmonies. The spirited Koudjay showcases the voice as a vibrant percussive instrument, highlighting the choir’s energy and precision. Woven together with familiar local melodies in a Singapura Medley, the performance celebrates heritage, musical versatility and the shared joy of choral singing.
