Synopsis
Join Concordia Quartet on a journey through string quartet music spanning the 18th to 21st centuries. From the earliest string quartets written by Josef Haydn to Puccini’s Crisantemi, which laments the passing of a Spanish prince, and Kilar’s Orawa, inspired by the grassy mountains of the Polish-Slovak region, the Singapore-based quartet presents a wonderful evening of Western classical repertoire.
Audiences will also enjoy the warmth and charm of local melodies in a medley of Singaporean folk songs. Don’t miss this rich and diverse programme of music for string quartet, performed by the prize-winning musicians of Concordia Quartet.
