Fluteflix, Flute On Air!

King's Flute Choir is a community of flute players from all walks of life. Formed by friends, they are committed in keeping Singapore's flute community active.

Flutist Andy Koh is an accomplished performer and educator with over 16 years of experience in Singapore’s music scene. A Fellow of Trinity College London, Andy has performed as Principal Flautist with the SAF Central Band and appeared with ensembles such as the Philharmonic Winds, The Philharmonic Orchestra, and the Singapore Lyric Opera. His artistry has taken him to international stages including the Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo and festivals in the United States, Europe, and Asia.

Jihyun Chang is an accomplished flautist who has performed at major venues including Carnegie Hall and the Royal Albert Hall. She has appeared at the BBC Proms with the Aurora Orchestra and has been recognised at various international competitions. Trained in the UK at the Royal College of Music and the Royal Northern College of Music, she continues to bring artistry and depth to her performances.

Born in Taiwan, Ke Yi-Chun's musical journey began at the tender age of four with her first piano lesson. She later received a full scholarship to National University of Singapore’s Yong Siew Toh Conservatory of Music, graduating with a Bachelor's Degree (Hons) in music flute performance. 

Ke has been regularly involved with various arts groups, including the Metropolitan Festival Orchestra, New Opera Singapore and the Singapore Symphony Orchestra. In 2010, she was selected to perform with the inaugural Youth Olympic Games Orchestra. 

She has won several awards, most notably 3rd Prize of the Open Division at the 2010 Flute Festival and 2nd Prize in the Open Division at the 1st Singapore Ensemble Competition. Ke is currently a committee member of King’s Flute Choir and works as a freelance musician based in Singapore.

Loh Wan Shan is a graduate of the Yong Siew Toh Conservatory of Music, National University of Singapore, where she was awarded a scholarship to pursue a Bachelor of Music with Honours, majoring in Piano Performance.

With over 20 years of experience, she teaches piano, music theory and ear training to students of all ages. She is also frequently engaged as a pianist for instrumentalists in their graded examinations, recitals and competitions.

Wan Shan also coaches novice Secondary 1 wind band members, sharing her knowledge of music and love of wind band music with them. In her free time, she plays the flute as well and enjoys performing and doing outreach programs with members of the King’s Flute Choir.
