Join us the Singapore National Youth Orchestra’s (SNYO) string, brass and percussion ensembles as they take you through an extraordinary musical journey with a diverse mix of music, from timeless classical masterpieces to energetic and innovative contemporary works.

 

The performances in Cool Classics 2025 will spotlight local composers and arrangers, highlighting their contributions to classical music in Singapore. The local composer featured in this programme is Ong Jiin Joo.

Comprising 180 youths aged 10 to 21 from more than 60 schools across Singapore, the Singapore National Youth Orchestra (SNYO) inspires young people to strive for artistic excellence, nurturing them to reach beyond their potential and developing them through rigorous training within a vibrant, supportive and diverse environment. Recognised by the Ministry of Education as a National Project of Excellence, its programme is accessible to talented youth musicians, where they are guided by professional musicians in rehearsals, masterclasses and performances.
