Let Trio Opal transport you through a vivid musical landscape, where each note reawakens emotions of timeless moments. With a rich blend of flute, cello and piano, their unique interpretation of classical music weaves drama, tension and beauty into a fresh sonic experience.
Hsiao Yi-An (Piano)
Yi-An is a versatile pianist with experience as both a soloist and chamber musician. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Music from the University of Taipei and has an extensive performance history in Taiwan. She has also previously been invited by The Ministry of Foreign Affairs to perform internationally in Germany and Japan. With a wealth of experience collaborating in piano competitions and performances, she thrives both as a soloist and in ensemble settings.
Ke Yi-Chun (Flute)
Born in Taiwan, Ke Yi-Chun's interest in music began at the tender age of four, when she had her first piano lesson. With a full scholarship from National University of Singapore’s Yong Siew Toh Conservatory of Music, she graduated with a Bachelor's Degree (Hons) in music flute performance.
Ke has been regularly involved in different arts groups, including the Metropolitan Festival Orchestra, New Opera Singapore, Singapore Symphony Orchestra and was also selected to be part of the 1st Youth Olympic Games Orchestra in 2010. She has won several awards, most notably 3rd Prize of the Open Division at the Flute Festival 2010, as well as 2nd Prize of the Open Division at the 1st Singapore Ensemble Competition. Ke is currently a committee member of King’s Flute Choir and freelance musician based in Singapore.
Sabrina Tsou (Cello)
Sabrina is a classical cellist with over 20 years of experience in performance and music education. A passionate teacher, she has guided students to success in regional and national competitions, focusing on their growth as both musicians and individuals. Sabrina spent her foundational years in Vancouver and graduated from the UBC School of Music. During her years in her hometown, Tawian, she was a member of the Taipei Philharmonic Orchestra and a cello teacher at several international schools.
Sabrina relocated to Singapore since 2016 and has since collaborated with groups such as Bossa Celli and the Metropolitan Festival Orchestra for various performances. She has also contributed to movie soundtracks, pop albums, and award shows, and toured Asia with artists Jam Hsiao and Michael Wong.
