Backed by a stellar band, her performance blends classic jazz charm with the magic and intimacy of the festive season. Expect soulful improvisations, cosy nostalgia and moments that sparkle with warmth and joy—the perfect way to celebrate the holiday season with style and soul.
Vanessa Shavonne (Vocals)
Vanessa Shavonne is a gifted jazz vocalist originally from Indonesia, who is currently based in Singapore. A rising star in today's jazz scene, she brings a voice that is both distinctive and timeless—refined, expressive and deeply rooted in the classic jazz tradition. In 2024, she released her debut album But Beautiful and holiday EP A Christmas Dream, and was featured on Singapore’s “King of Swing” Jeremy Monteiro’s 50th album Live Upon Nassim Hill. Vanessa has performed with Jazz Association Singapore Orchestra (JASSO) and Jazz Association Singapore Youth Orchestra (JASSYO). She has also taken the stage at major events, including International Jazz Day 2023 at the Botanic Gardens Symphony Stage, Lion City Jazz Festival 2024, and JASSO Pinnacle 2025.
Andrea Cui (Trumpet)
Andrea Cui is a Singaporean trumpeter and composer. Having graduated from Yong Siew Toh Conservatory of Music (YSTCM) and Berklee College of Music, he is uniquely versatile, with experience and expertise in classical music, jazz and other contemporary styles. He has performed across the world—China, Italy, USA, Singapore, Malaysia, Korea, and Hong Kong, to name a few. Some notable venues he has performed in include Jazz at Lincoln Center Shanghai, JZ Club Guangzhou, Esplanade – Theatres on the Bay, Fountain de Chopin, and MGM Fenway. Some of his notable achievements include finishing as finalist in Al Natale Brass Competition 2022 and Berklee Brass Showcase 2023, and receiving the Berklee Brass department's Ray Kotwica Award. He received a full tuition scholarship to YSTCM, as well as the Berklee World Tour Scholarship.
Arnold Pontoh (Piano)
Arnold Pontoh is a passionate jazz pianist and dedicated educator who delights in sharing the beauty of music. Based for many years in Jakarta, he performed extensively, taught aspiring musicians and recorded an original mini album. He has also participated in several jazz workshops in New York City and is now continuing his musical journey in Singapore.
Victoria Lim (Drums)
Victoria Lim is a jazz drummer that studied under the tutelage of great Singapore artists such as Darryl Ervin, Chok Kerong and Andrew Lim. She has performed and jammed in various jazz bars, both local and international. Known for her steadfast rhythm, her groove anchors the band and provides the ground for musical improvisation.
Richmond Lip (Bass)
Richmond ventured into the vibrant world of jazz, and was fortunate to have access to exceptional opportunities and mentors. Richmond aspires to enhance his musical sensitivity and rhythmic precision, his ultimate goal is to become the versatile and dependable bassist that his bandmates can rely on, seamlessly blending technical mastery with creative expression.
