Synopsis

Despite not being a full-time singer, every performance by Bi Yu Ng is remarkable, charming audiences of all ages with her enthralling voice and unique style. She wishes to share the stories of every song she performs and aspires to be a songwriter one day. This August, Bi Yu will perform a special tribute of songs written by Singaporean songwriters.

Artist Information

Bi Yu Ng

Bi Yu is a talented singer, pipa musician, and instructor. She obtained her diploma in 2009 from both the Central Conservatory of Music and the National University of Singapore Centre for the Arts.

 

As a member of the Pipa Society Singapore and the People's Association Youth Chinese Orchestra since 2006, Bi Yu has gained extensive performance experience.

 

Bi Yu has actively participated in various orchestral performances, theatre productions, and music recordings. Her recent collaborations include notable works such as Chinatown Crossings with Drama Box and 《弹指一挥间》 with the Pipa Society.

 

In addition to her instrumental prowess, Bi Yu has enriched her musical career by singing at various prestigious events, including wedding gigs, the President’s Challenge and performances at the Esplanade. These experiences have further showcased her versatility and dedication to her craft.
