Join Paper Divers for a night of melodic poetry and get a peek of their songwriting process. Influenced by musical acts such as Death Cab for Cutie, Haruka Nakamura, toe, and Sufjan Stevens—Paper Divers is also equally drawn to the works of Italo Calvino, Neil Gaiman, H.P. Lovecraft, René Magritte, and biblical texts.
Playing original songs such as Arial, Where I Can Be and Chwee Kueh, find out why writing a song about a "boring" font such as Arial was such a cathartic experience, and how writing in Teochew was a very different process from writing in English.
No tickets will be issued. Seats are available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Listening to Paper Divers is like walking into a dusty second-hand bookstore: some books are in mismatched sections and half the books reference remnants of a bygone era.
Formed in 2013 by Jared Yip and Jonathan Yip, they are partnered with Sarah Lim, Diane Teo, Regan Wong and Clara Low in their songwriting endeavours. With Sarah and Diane currently overseas, they are joined by Matthew Tan, Leong En-Lin and Ashley Tey today.
Paper Divers also composes original soundtracks for film. They collaborated with Boedi Widjaja on Path. 13, Quaver Cipher (2023) and Path. 14, The River Flows Two Ways (2023).
