Synopsis
Spend a quiet Friday night listening to old tunes turned into new pieces, and actual new songs written and produced by Likie Low! Alongside SCO Ruan musician Jonathan Rao and YST Undergraduate pianist Soh Weiqi, join us for a soothing ride with this instrumental twist.

Likie Low

Likie is a rising Singaporean composer, producer and songwriter who specialises in the fusing electronic dance music (EDM) with a live brass ensemble, as well as performing as an erhu soloist and DJ.

 

In August 2022, she presented a mix of EDM with Chinese instruments and a brass ensemble for her debut at the Yong Siew Toh Conservatory of Music, as part of their Voyage festival. She continues to celebrate traditional Chinese music in her performances, notably in her solo concert as a part of Singapore Chinese Cultural Centre’s RE•MIX Festival in November 2022.

 

As a producer for dance and pop music, she has released several singles on Spotify and Apple Music, including her debut album, Tell Me. Likie is an acclaimed songwriter, winning various awards such Hitmaker Global Academy and International Seakeepers Society Songwriting Competition in 2020, and The Dream Composition Songwriting Competition in 2021.
