At the helm of the Rachma Lim Fellowship Band is Rachma Lim who hails from Medan, North Sumatra. She arrived in Singapore as an exuberant, teenage, budding jazz pianist, and has performed extensively since graduating from LASALLE College of the Arts in 2010, having studied contemporary music.
Further raising the bar as a challenge to expand her horizons, Rachma earned her Master’s Degree in music at the Aaron Copland School of Music, Queens College, New York City.
In her travels across Europe, Rachma teamed up with many musicians, but finally touched down in London with the singular goal to record at the famous Abbey Roads Studios, where her second EP, The Nocturnal Chapters was born. Her latest single release in April 2022 Wishing Well is also now available.
Rachma is an integral part of the jazz community in Singapore, leaving her footprint firmly through her personal endeavours to promulgate and elevate the standard of jazz as a universal language in the community.
